Finance Group

Research


The Finance Group has a strong research profile. We operate in various research disciplines, including
Corporate Finance, Investments and Portfolio Management, Behavioural Finance, International Finance, Risk Management and Derivatives, Market Microstructure, and Monetary Economics. Our staff publishes in leading journals, including the Journal of Finance, the American Economic Review, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and The Review of Financial Studies. Research is supported by several institutes:

  • Tinbergen Institute (TI);
  • Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM);
  • Erasmus Center for Financial Research (ECFR);
  • EURO Working Group on Financial Modelling (EWGFM).

 

We have a strong international focus, an active seminar series and we regularly organize scientific symposia and conferences. Furthermore, the Finance Group has strong ties with other research groups on the Woudestein campus, including the Econometrics department and the Accounting Group in the Erasmus School of Economics and the Finance and Accounting group of Rotterdam School of Management.

We are regularly recruiting PhD students, post-doc researchers and tenure-track personnel. Our group has a strong interest in candidates with academic experience and a promising research program.
